Job Description Alteo is looking for a CTO for a permanent position based in Montreal (downtown).

*** Hybrid work : 3 days office / 2 days remote ***

As CTO, you will be responsible for leading the technology strategy, vision, and execution to drive innovation and growth within the organization.  Reporting directly to the Vice-President, you will play a critical role in shaping the technology landscape of the company.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive technology roadmap aligned with the company’s strategic objectives;
  • Design a collaborative business architecture in line with the strategy and the priorities;
  • Build and maintain a comprehensive understanding of business requirements related to IT; align strategic objectives with internal stakeholders and senior management;
  • Drive strategic IT projects to successful end results by: aligning goals and timelines with stakeholders, communicating project plans internally, appropriately assigning duties to project team members, establishing project phases, and altering project efforts as needed to achieve deliverables;
  • Ensure corporate compliance in terms of IT and the liaison with internal audit and risk management teams with respect to implementing reporting and action plans;
  • Act as expert advisor for the senior management team and other managers, including by providing advice and strategic guidance regarding IT trends;
  • Role model effective communication for direct reports;
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement by proposing new solutions to be able to meet the future challenges of the operations;
  • Ensure the quality of services to users;
  • Lead a team of technology professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement;
  • Manage relations with major suppliers and partners;
  • Grow internal IT skills in Enterprise Architecture and Application Development;
  • Focus on Cyber Security and ensure adequate protection against Threat Actors;
  • Improve Disaster Recovery posture by leveraging Cloud technologies where appropriate.
Profile:
  • University degree in IT or equivalent, MBA is an asset;
  • 10+ years experience in a similar role;
  • Experience at the senior leadership level delivering innovative strategies and launching enterprise wide programs in a fast paced, evolving organization while balancing the complexity secure and reliable operations;
  • Solid knowledge of application design, data management, user experience with an understanding of technology infrastructure and production environments in a high transaction environment;
  • Knowledge of Web technologies, focused on three-tiered architecture;
  • Experience in delivering self-service applications to end-users;
  • Knowledge of Cloud Based, advanced Telephony platform;
  • Knowledge if Artificial Intelligence technologies and how they could be applied for internal or customer facing applications;
  • Knowledge of RPA – Robotic Process Automation;
  • Working experience with Agile Development Methodology;
  • Proven track record in building and maintaining collaborative professional relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders including executive management, employees and the broader business community;
  • Demonstrate initiative and creativity;
  • Demonstrate judgment, professionalism and flexibility;
  • Technical knowledge and analytical skills to help make strategic decisions and articulate future vision;
  • Exceptional ability to introduce technology to attract customers, increase revenue, facilitate growth and reduce costs;
  • Very developed organizational skills and ability to manage several projects at the same time;
  • Great ability to work in a team and a strong team player;
  • Ability to analyze documentation and verbalize results;
  • Excellent mentorship and leadership skills;
  • Ability to handle large-scale projects effectively and meet deadlines;
  • Strong ability to lead teams to a high level of performance;
  • Ability to negotiate and influence outcomes;
  • Results oriented;
  • Ability to manage a CAPEX/OPEX budget;
  • Comfortable in a dynamic and fast working environment;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
