Alteo is looking for a Data Center Systems Administrator for a permanent position based in Boucherville.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain the highest level of service availability
- Ensure that infrastructures are properly monitored and maintain consistency with other hosted systems
- Diagnose and deal with any data center infrastructure incidents and ensure that they do not recur.
- Participate in the study and analysis of the company's needs in terms of hosted infrastructures
- Administer physical and virtual machines, networking and storage in the data center
- Ensure the management of change requests in production and maintain up-to-date logs of failures, interventions and incidents
- Ensure continuity of data center backups and implement corrective actions where necessary
- Ensure data integrity, confidentiality and security
- Provide level 2 and 3 IT support to customers in connection with our hosting activities
- Participate in the analysis and design of innovative technological solutions presented to our customers
- Apply IT procedures/standards and document associated solutions
- Maintain and administer customer systems and application solutions
- Diagnose and handle operational incidents, and ensure that incidents do not recur
- Support the manager in carrying out the department's mandates in order to achieve set business objectives
- Anticipate relevant IT innovations and submit them to the Innovation Committee
- Prepare technical documentation and ensure that it is communicated, assimilated and mastered by the stakeholders involved
- Develop and disseminate operating procedures, while documenting existing secure hosting facilities.
- Participate in the rotation of the data center outage support team outside office hours.
Profile:
- AEC, DEC or BAC in IT or networking
- 5+ years' relevant experience
- Excellent knowledge of virtualization with VMWare tools (essential)
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Linux, Active directory, Microsoft Exchange, SQL operating systems
- Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP protocol
- Excellent knowledge of networks (switches, routers, firewalls, etc.)
- Very good knowledge of infrastructure (SAN)
- Knowledge of telecommunications
- Excellent command of spoken and written French
- Good command of English, both spoken and written, to be able to communicate with certain non-French-speaking customers (asset)
- Recognized certification (e.g. VCP, A+, MCNA, MCP, CCNA) (asset)
- Technical experience with IP telephony (an asset)
- Knowledge of infrastructure automation (Ansible, Terraform) (asset)
