Alteo is looking for a Level 1&2 IT Technician for a permanent position based in Central Quebec (near Drummondville).
Your main responsibility will be to provide technical assistance to users and maintain IT infrastructures at two sites. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of equipment (workstations, servers, peripherals), network administration and IT security. You will also be involved in software selection, installation and operation, as well as user training and support. Finally, you will be involved in the management of IT purchases and in certain specific projects, such as the management of mobile telephony and VoIP.
Responsibilities:
- Provide first- and second-line technical support to users (hardware and software) at both sites.
- Diagnose and solve technical problems related to workstations, software and networks.
- Administer computer networks (switches and firewalls) and guarantee their security.
- Manage hardware purchases and inventory (PCs, servers, printers, peripherals).
- Manage software licenses and mobile telephony equipment (preparation, configuration, maintenance of agreements).
- Participate in software selection, configuration and installation, while providing training to users.
- Implement and manage an upgrade plan for operating systems and software (Windows, Office 365).
- Contribute to the redesign and management of internal digital tools.
Profile:
- DEC in IT, computer network management, or any equivalent training.
- 3+ years' experience in IT support, network administration or systems management, ideally in a Windows environment.
- Good knowledge of Windows operating systems and Office 365 suite.
- Experience with network equipment, including switches and firewalls (Unify).
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
- Knowledge of workstation and server installation, configuration and maintenance processes.
- Management of software licenses and vendor contracts.
- Excellent ability to diagnose and resolve technical problems.
- Autonomy, initiative and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with users.
- Good written and spoken French; English is an asset.
